Tara Murray first learned the art of glass flameworking at the Crucible, in Oakland, California. She produces a wide variety of sculptural, wearable, and functional blown glass objects, in borosilicate and soft glass. Her work is most often narrative and figurative, with a painterly technique and representative themes of nature and the human figure. Tara lives and works in Oakland, California, near her home town of San Francisco.
